Is it still the case that EQEmulator will not work in such an environment?

Won't work, you need an permanent internet connection to the eqemu loginserver.

Question:

I have looked into EQ Emulator and also into EthernalQuest. EthernalQuest worked GREAT on my slower computer, but I couldn't seem to get any further than character creation. EQ Emulator appeared to work great, but I couldn't login (obviously).

If I run both programs on my computer at the same time, I have literally two worlds. If I login through EthernalQuest, will I see the EQ Emulator world and will it work?

I'd test this out myself, but my friend's motherboard blew up, so he's using my computer temporarily while waiting for his to be fixed.
