Lots of users are having trouble logging in.

Many users, such as Kate and myself, are experiencing problems logging in.

In my case, I try to log in with it saying "Logging into the server. Please wait...", but then it comes up and says this:

Is there anyone who can fix this?

mrea 10-23-2004 03:24 AM

Think the servers are down right now, thats all

Solvorn 10-23-2004 03:24 AM

Can anyone get them back up?

This is my first time using EQEmu, so I'm a tad anxious.

You could use minilogin. That's what I am on until the public login wakes up :)

Solvorn 10-23-2004 03:34 AM

What is MiniLogin?

mrea 10-23-2004 03:36 AM

Haha, guess i'll be doing that also cavedude, btw, does gm status work for you? no matter what status level i set myself to i dont have any commands

cavedude 10-23-2004 03:41 AM

Yes I am using all GM commands just fine. I have everything set to 100 or higher except datarate and no problems.

Solvorn: Check out the minilogin forum for info on how to get and use it.

Solvorn 10-23-2004 03:45 AM

I see, but will the normal log in be coming back online?

cavedude 10-23-2004 03:47 AM

Yes I'm sure sometime soon. It likes to take little naps every now and again.

Solvorn 10-23-2004 03:48 AM

So is it like EQEmu's version of Sony's long downtimes?

cavedude 10-23-2004 05:05 AM

Kinda, but Emu generally has less downtime than SOE.

Timeout error

Im gettin the timeout error right after i click login

cparker1125 10-24-2004 03:55 AM

the timeout error is almost ALWAYS due to your eqhost, click everywhere around it and make sure you have NO blank spaces, one blank space will make it do that.

This timeout error is getting annoying... I have checked my eqhost several times, nothing wrong with it...

[LoginServer]
host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994

Try:

Code:

[LoginServer]
Host=newlogin1.eqemulator.net:5994

I just tested it and if I have 'host' rather than 'Host' (note upper case 'H'), I will get a timeout error.
