CVS Access On Windows
Request i do this by FWN.
First download WinCvs from http://www.wincvs.org/download.html Get the lastest verison. Install with everything. You may need to reboot. Then once installed it will tell you to get python ignore that. Go to the command line under admin and enter under CVSROOT Code:
:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemulator Then go to admin login use: Code:
:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemulator It will promte you for a password just hit ok. Then: Then go to remote Checkout For the module name enter Code:
EQEmuCVS Then there will be a field called CVSROOT add the following. Code:
:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/eqemulator Hit ok. It should go and grab all the files off of the cvs now. Good luck |
How would i go about getting the source before it was updated on xx/xx/05? (if possible)
EDIT: nm, figured it out. |
I can't believe that I missed this post until now. This is really cool! Thanks Xabob for putting this up here, and Father Nitwit for suggesting it. More stuff to pour over :)

Nice tutorial, though I am seeming to have problems getting the actual source from the CVS. It all goes fine, logs in with code 0 (normally), and checkouts the module ok. It begins getting the files, and when it gets to EQEmuCVS/ppconvert it exits with code 1. (failure) Any idea what I am doing wrong, or is this happening to everyone? Any help is appreciated.

I have code 1 error sometimes, but when i update, no more.

Thanks. You were correct. I was using WinCVS 1.2, it seems 2.0+ is required. I get code 0 now.

I use tortoise CVS... anything I would change? Same CVS root, right?
|
I am using WinCvs 2.0.2.4(build4)
I get the password prompt and click ok 5 seconds later I get... ***** CVS exited normally with code 0 ***** Any ideas? haha ok then I just keep plugging the rest of the tutorial in and it worked fine .. I thought the 0 ment there was a problem. |
Problem configuring WinCVS
Hi
I am first time WinCVS user. I am not able to define the CVSROOT. When I enter the value of CVSROOT in command line (ppm@devibm1.hdc.bio-rad.com:/users/ppm/CVSROOT) , another WinCVS window pops up in background and looks like it is searching the CVSROOT forever. Can somebody help? Are there additional settings that I should be doing. Where do i define pserver? Thanks, |
