What Port # does EQ emu use?

Ya... what port # does EQ emu use? I heard it was 5995. See im at a school with a firewall, and I happen to have connections with the guy who can open the ports open. I asked him to open 5995 and it doesnt seem to be working...

To run a server you need 9000, i think maybe 8000, and any ports for zoneservers. (Most commonly 5995 through 6010)

alright i guess i made a mistake... i only did 5995... so i guess it shouldnt work. What are zone servers?
