Question about EQemu version pls answer

The EQ patcher has downloaded new "eqgame.exe" file which does not work with EQEmu. Is it because of the recent EQEmu version or is it something in my settings? It worked just fine before i downloaded new expansion that new executable was downloaded with it? PLS tell me its because of the version pls pls.

DO NOT PATCH - Latest EQ Patch Breaks EQEmulator.

posted right at the top of the forums.. any patch after 12-14-04 will break eqemu compatibilty

I know but what exactly does it cause? Was that problem with eqgame.exe caused by it or not? Thats what i am trying to find out. I asked to find out if i just have to wait or try to repair it. If its caused by me or the patch.

Its not just EQGame.exe that makes it incompatable, the rendereffects and some DLL's and maybe even some UI files that are patched will break your compatability with EQEmu. Its more then just one file and it can be different for every patch on what files changed.
