Code:

C:\>mysql\bin\mysql.exe
ERROR 2003: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' <10061>

i cant help but feel that all of these errors are linked together by my firewall -_-

I'm note sure if the same on Windows as on Linux (though it probably is), MySQL server will require port 3306, try opening that up on your firewall and see if it helps any.

As for the Login Server error, you will need to open up the port on your firewall that you're using for your Login Server (5998 or some such).

Yesh

i fixed it on my own :P just basically unstalled everything er... but now im getting 1017... ??? did i do something wrong?

1017 errors usally denote too recent of a version of EverQuest comparative to the version of EQEmu. If you've patched since 5/17 (or thereabouts), you can't do much with it until the Emu reaches live compatability. (Which is coming close by the looks of it)

?

then whats this i hear about a new eq emu that works with live? or at least the 7/14 patch, i think its 0.6.2 dr0? i unno...

To use the version that is compatible with 07/14, you need to compile it from CVS, there aren't any precompiled binaries that I've seen yet. There are tutorials on how to compile if you need it. Good luck
