Emu question reguarding patch
I was wondering do we have to use the most recent update to beable to create a server? I been having some trouble downloading the update patch and was wondering if its possible to bypass it so possibly it can be just be ran on a IPX/LAN instead?

as long as you have the update from when the client code was last updated you're fine for 0.2.0. Previous version should work with previous patch levels.

I don't update. My last update was when Eqemu 0.2 came oui because it supported Sol. I keep it all in a separate directory for my regular EQ client directory.

Oh ok i see. so still I have to try and download the latest version because I quit EQ about 8 monthes ago and i just reinstalled it to see if i can get it to work with the emu. Thanks for the info. :)

Currently live version works fine, but if they patch after this date (that im posting) it might not, the test version does not work, but it is being worked on so it will.

So there aint a way to have the emu to permanantly work with a specific version without having to update whenever a new patch becomes available?
