problem with 6.2 server
 

Ive set up everything and I click on my server in the list of servers and when I get to the character select screen I hit enter and everything just freezes and I have to manual restart my computer. Any ideas why this may be.

Are you able to create a character? What kind of errors are you seeing in world.exe?

read the loginserver.ini you cant use the word server in the world name....

Yes he can, my 2 server are name :
Froggy French Server
Froggy French Server (TEST)
Old time ago, login server add "Server" to name, but don't work now.

For your problem, in loginserver.ini
CUT: loginserver2 and loginport2 lines.

These are errors I am getting any ideas?

and now when i click on my character and hit enter i get the message a time out error has occured after like 5 min

Im trying to run a online server not a minilogin server.

Well aside from some item db errors, it appears that you're looking good. Can you connect to the PEQ server from your client? Are there any firewall programs running that may be blocking ports? On your world.exe screenshot, I don't see where a connect attempt is even made.

Check your firewalls!

Are you using PEQ 0.6.2 RC1 database ? (http://www.projecteq.net)

Your DB is not 6.2 compatible there are a few things needed t do to make a previous DB 6.2 compatible. easiest way to get rid of the errors source in the Velious release canidate 1 database on PEQ sight. It is 6.2 compatible. Or you can search the sight for the things that nned to be done to make your DB compatible with 6.2

-I can connect to PEQ perfectly
-I turned off my firewall but it still didnt work
-I changed my database to Velious Release Candidate 1 and sourced all four files within it to database eq.

-Now when I run world.exe it looks different (below) and when I try to run boot5zones it just pops up and goes away instantly probably as a result of some error im getting in world.exe ... Im unsure what to do from this point.

oh wow i dunno what you did but wow. you only need to source in the two load .sql in the zip file. not all four for a fresh install DB

k im gonna redo the whole database again
