Giving me 1017 for no reason
 

i havent patched since august, havent really played since august either, but i go on to play today and its giving me the connection error. on top of that it wont let me select any of the servers, i can only quick connect to the last server i clicked on.

my host file still has
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

unless thats changed. i know how the tutorial says 5994 and everyone is too lazy to change it.

Does this mean i cant play any more?

you don't change anything on your computer ? hardware ? firewall ? if not are you sure you have 0.6.2 client and not 0.6.1 client ? try a 0.6.1 server if you can log in one.

i cant select any other servers to test it out, it wont let me. i click on em and nothing happens.

I have the same problem as the original poster, except I CAN log into the 0.6.1 but not the 0.6.2. I've been all over the boards, but can't figure out how to update to 0.6.2 client. Can anyone point me to some clear (read as "in simple laymens terms") instructions?

You cant update to 6.2. Its too late for that.

Ah. Sigh. Are there any other 0.6.1 servers out there beside the single one (Darius) listed? I guess I'll have to do some invesitgating.

No..But there might be later if someone wants to make one. You can make one yourself also. Keep that folder. Copy/paste it. I have a 6.1 server maybe I will run it if I get a machine for it..There may be alot of people like you. Players that need a server and not the other way around like 6.2 LOL!
