How To : Serialize Items
 

Ive seen a few posts on here about how to edit / create new items , and then how to serialize them into your database. Well once you have modified / created your items and they are inserted into your database follow these directions ..

1) copy serialize_items.pl and item_fieldlist.h (found in source/common) to the same directory as eqemu
2) open a command prompt and type ppm
3) then type ' install dbi ' and press enter
4) type ' install dbd ' and press enter
5) exit the command prompt
6) now run serialize_items.pl
7) all done! Now your items should load and show correctly in game.

Perl serialize_items.pl
