Help loggin into server menu
 
I did everything the guide said to do etc but when i get to log into server menu were u type in login and password it juss get stuck on "loggin into server please wait" i left it go fer about 20 min and nothin happend so i just quited, anyone know wuts wrong or anything i could do ?

btw, do i have to do something with the account key? i have created a login etc but i never did anything with the key please help

Are you sure you have a everquest patched BEFORE 9/13/2005 ? :)

Sorry, if you patched after 9/13 you cant play eqemu till devs update the code to be compatible with live.

Would patching up past 9/13 cause this? i patched eq yesterday ( oct 5/05)
but i only patched PoP, SoL, Kunark i dident download anyother patches...

still o luck gettin on jusst stays stuck on "logging on to server"

What about not having any patches from well before Sept 13th. The last time I ran EQ was in June (early July at latest to see if I could loggon after I suspended my account in June), so is it possible to have a version of EQ that is not up to date enough? I ask this because I am having the same problem as the original poster. I know for a fact I have not updated EQsince before Sept 13th (presumably 2005).

Nevermind. After posting this response I went further back and saw a message from pre-Sept 13th instructing someone to change the host from 5994 to 5998. I did that and it worked fine. I think the FAQ instructions need to be updated :) (going there now to point it out). Sorry for the bother.
