Please help, getting timed out
 

Just as the title says, everytime i go to log in with name and password it brings up a box saying Error: time out has occured. I copied the same info from the eqhost here on the eqemu site. can someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong or if the server is just down?

i got the login to work now but when i login to a server, it shows all the character select boxes as completely blank, to the right i have a human avatar and above his head it says (xxx being a random number) [xxx UNKNOWN CLASS] and below it says UNKNOWN ZONE, when i try to switch class it says something to the effect that "Buffer overrun detected! Program [eq file line here] a buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. the program cannot safely continue execution and must be terminated now."
