doodman runs it exclusively under cedega...
I know people have had significant problems getting it to work with ATI cards, if you have an nvidia card around, you might give that a try. |
If it sounds like ...

I also run EQ under Cedega fine.

I used to a while ago when it was WineX, with a ton of errors... but of course I had this odd card, nVidia TnT Riveria... didnt work right with mesa :S

What eqclient.ini configuration? and what options have u activated on Transgaming Cedega profile for eq? i am getting crazy, because it take 5 min for get to character selection screen, then i have to wait 5 min for see what results i have got for each change that i have done.. Thx. |
If you got your computer from a store, you likely have windows, so I always just get another hard drive for linux and keep the one they give me for gaming ;) as most games need windows.

yes, i have other partition with windows, but i would prefer dont have to reboot the pc each time that i want play to EQ =/ furthermore, i am trying to delete win partition totally, so soon like crossover office gives complete support for dreamweaver and i can run EQ on linux, i ll delete win partition :P
And what graphics card u think that i could use for good perfomance with eq on linux using cedega? thx |
nvidia has far better linux support, ATI is slowly catching on but atm...If you want to game on your linux partition, I suggest you invest in an nvidia card, or just borrow one from somewhere :p
|
I use linux with ATI and Nvidia also easy, now support for drivers is better :)
