Graphics problems, screen is black/grey no graphics show up
 

all i can see in game is my character name and my UI, i cant see any graphics or models, the entire screen is black or grey.

I use a radeon mobility 9600/9700 card. I just installed eq today, to play on an emulator server, and when i opened everquest it told me that i was using radeon drivers 6400 sometihng and it recomended i upgrade to 6575. I couldnt find 6575, but i found the only ATI upgrade available for mobile cards which was catalyst 6.1 mobility. I upgraded, and the message does not come up anymore but the problem is still there - i see no graphics in game.

Now, i played EMU over summer and nevre had a problem on this laptop. Has sony changed something since summer that would prevent me, my laptop, and my radeon 9600/9700 mobile card from playing everquest properly?

anyone have a solution for this? I now have the most up-to-date drivers for my card (1/4/06) yet i still cant see any graphics in game.

adding HardwareTNL=False in my client file did not work either

You said you played EQ over the summer, yet you also say you "just installed EQ." I'm hoping you didn't patch your client, as we're not compatible with live at the moment.

DO NOT PATCH ON 9/13 OR LATER - 9/13 EQ Patch Breaks 0.6.2 (Which we are freezing on)

This includes versions 0.6.3 and 0.6.4. Basically, unless you have an archived copy from 09/12/2005 (or around there), you're SoL.
