Titanium AAs make an appearance
All,
I received information today from Wizardanim about an opcode we had wrong for Titanium. With this opcode corrected, the Titanium AA window now displays some lists. There are still some issues to overcome with them in Titanium, but this is a huge step. |
interested
If your at all interested in looking into this issue - change OP_SendAAstats=0x5918 within the titanium.conf file to 0x5966. The problem is - You will be able to train in the AA - there is no change in client window and you receive errors... viewable not functional

That is awesome =)

Nice find, Wizard! :)

Awsome job!! It's really refreshing to see so many people working so selflessly towards the same goal :)
How close does this bring us to fully functional AAs now?? I have to admit that that quest for alt abilities is what really makes the game fun for me! They make a normal ordinary character so much more diverse :) |
Awsome! Good show :)
I tested it myself and it indeed shows the AAs, but you can't really get an update as you spend them. But the progress is encouraging! |
Good job, laddy! Well done.

Great job, but can i just check one minor detail. The post above details changing the opcode to 0x5966, i have installed the latest release which includes this fix, and the opcode for titanium was changed to 0x5996 , a minor deviance, but would appreciate clarity on which opcode is correct. thanks

I can not get either op code to work, so what am I doing wrong?
|
hmnm
I am semi new at this still, but i was able to change the op code in patch_titanium.conf (is that what you mean?) in the eqemu root dir
has anyone looked through this file at the opcodes? if you search for "AA" there's the following: OP_SendAATable=0x367d OP_UpdateAA=0x0000 OP_RespondAA=0x0000 OP_SendAAStats=0x5966 OP_AAAction=0x0681 OP_AAExpUpdate=0x5f58 OP_PurchaseLeadershipAA=0x0000 OP_UpdateLeadershipAA=0x0000 OP_LeadershipExpUpdate=0x0000 Now, call me a noob, but doesn't 0's mean OFF?! so it seems obvious that there is no update/respond, etc. Hope this helps you guys. perhaps you could look at a previous install of eq for more info ? or if you have it showing up but not functional, what about using etheral to packet sniff RIGHT when you spend a (non functional) aa point... ? The problem is that it is in hex... if you want to do trial and error.. to get a single 0x0000 working, you'd have to try a total of 4294836225 different number combinations, but you'd probably get it working at some point, altough you'd probably lose your wife/gf and be about 30 years older. |

And if this doesnt work?? any other clues to make AAs work?
|
Hmmm...
Heres an idea... someone more programming savvy than me could try writing a program to enter those 2756i65896563462 different combinations.. but i have no idea how you could test it... ergh... lol though that would be one nice step froward! 8)
|
and..
now that i think about it... you would really only need to fix one of the sets..(update AA's) to make it work..? and thats not nearly as many different combo's...lol again, someone teach me how, and i will work on eq emu.. im in high school...free time out the butt. :-)
