Quick question - connection issues
 

Every time I start up eq via the modified short-cut, everything works fine until I try to actually connect to a server, at which point it says that eqgame has encountered an error and must close.

Now I think the answer might be simple, I do not own Titanium, however I own all the games in it, albeit patched. Is there any solution short of buying a new titanium game?

Sorry But Titanium is the only supported Version. You need a fresh install of Titanium. otherwise it will not work.

I'm getting the same thing happening to me, and I do own Titanium.

I'm pretty new here, so please bare with me. I was able to login and play on other people's servers and then I just set up my own server a few days ago. Everthing was going fine with the install and I even managed to login via the public login server and create a character on my own server. Then after reading (and only reading) the forums and documents on how to promote my char to GM status I began to receive the same error. The login screen is fine, but when I hit the server select screen my eqgame.exe crashes.

I have tried to go to other servers (not mine), I have tried to reinstall Titanium on this PC, and I installed a fresh copy on a second PC in my house (one without any other EQ or EQemu files on it) and I still get the same error. Is the issue client-side or server-side? Seeing as it was working fine one min and not the next, I'm leaning toward server based error... but who's server? mine? other's hosts? the login server?

Please advise.


cancel all the above. after 2 days of not being able to login, this afternoon i am able to login without any issues.
