Charming and the Pet Window
 

Only confirmed in one zone--- in Ocean of Tears, charming a spectre does not cause it to report as a pet on your pet window.

The only way I could keep track of it's health was to manually click it to check.

I can confirm - as a druid - pet commands do not work, but pet status shows ok.

Weird, charming anything without the pet window open already gives me no pet status. =/

I'm using the Seductive Charm spell, though, and am a Rogue (#castspell). That might have something to do with it.

You're using real charm spells as the actual class, though? I hadn't thought to do that for some reason.
