Cant get anything to work LOL HELP PLZ!
 

Hey there first of, excuse my english.

Well to the problems.

I have followed the guide on setting up my own server.
1st problem the mysql install and setup i cant get it to work
i install it to c:\mysql. Version 5.0.
When i am askt to configure my server ill chose the first setup on all the questions the wizards give me for exampel what kind of server tye i chose developers server and so on the others too i uncheck the strict mode and chose TCP ip thing and writes in my password when it asks me too. when i execute it it stops on server service (sometimes) well when i get past that
i cant get anything to work in the cmd i am supose to type mysql and when i do it says something about no password and cannot connect to server and still my server is running if i type START NET MYSQL it says it already running.

So we can begin with solving that problem before i go on with the others =))
and please help me i want to run EQ so badly!

the other problem was when i were going to add lines in the quarry browser but first the above problem.

PS. Perl and the maps and the questes is all there and done.

You have set up a password for the Root user during the setup of MySQL 5.

So your connection command should be mysql -uroot -p

When launched mysql will ask you for your password. Just type it and it should work.

Just a recommendation, but unless you have messed with MySQL a lot before I would start out using Mysql 4.0.x. You are going to run into some problems with 5 running EQemu that you'll have to fix.

I got it to work and thanks for the help but i managed to get ti to work after mixing around alillbit .. up and running.

But i got other questions now when i got it to run.
Can i change anything in the world? like remove PoK books and get the boat back? and can i change the models to old models only and my own character? and old textures in EQ Classic?
Loading screen login screen are those changeable?

Got alot of questions but i think i already askt to much.
