Best monk weapon pre kunark
 

Hey again guys,

I know there are a few people around here who played before kunark on the lives EQ evers. I was only 14 when i was playing EQ prekunark so i cant remember it to well.

Me and my friends cant remember the best monk weapon pre-kunark. My friend played a monk then and said something like a splintering club was awsome until your fists improved. But if you were a monk in a guild that was killing lady Vox at the time what would you use?

Monk weapons really didn't come around until Kunark. The only thing worth getting were whitened treant fists which dropped in the Plane of Air.


EDIT: Huh, I just looked them up.... they're hand to hand weapons now. Pre-Kunark they were 1HB as there were no H2H weapons at the time.

Do you remember what a monk would use before plane of fear/hate? Just the fists?

yup... I was a 50th level monk well before Kunark came out... and I used fists. The only time I used a weapon is when I felt like screwing around.

generally, if you wanted to go fist/1hb pre-kunark, you did the screaming mace quest.

Screaming mace was ok... but your fists did better damage starting at level 25

Some other pre-planar pre-kunark items and the level your fists got better

Cold Iron Morning Star - 30
Enamled Black Mace - 30
Sharkbone Warhammer - 35
