Cannot connect to server

Hi all -- I'd appreciate a little support.

First a big thanks to the devs. I love the idea of playing on my own computer so I can be a giant cheater. :D

Problem: I am able to get to the server select screen. On my computer, the server shows up with a status of 0. I select it, click Play, and after about 10 seconds of thinking I'm booted back to the login screen.
When I connect via eqemulator.net I can see the server list and log in to most of them. It must be something in my world (or server?) causing the issue.

I followed the wiki for 0.7.0-845 installation (to the letter!) with EQ Titanium. I'm using Perl 5.8.7 and MySQL 5.1.11, PEQ's database, and MiniLogin 6.2. My machine is an AMD 1.8Ghz, 1G RAM, Win XP SP2.

I double checked all SQL account table to make sure it isn't a simple uid/pw error. I have checked the log files and can't find any error notes. The world and zone launcher are communicating fine it seems. Databases are loaded fine too. I just can't seem to actually play on my server when I select it. I've searched through the forums and wiki and managed to correct all other trouble I was having until now. After about 3 hours of rechecking all my config files (I even wiped everything and started completely fresh) I'm at a total loss.

Thanks in advance.

What you're likely to hear is, "if you followed the guide to the letter, you would have read that MySQL 5.1 is not supported yet". Try MySQL 4.0.23, or even 4.1.* before giving 5.1 a chance. That could be your problem.

Update

Got it! I originally used this wiki about 0.7.0-845 which specifically deals with MySQL 5.0.24 -- which is why I figured it would work.

Tried MySQL 4 which made problems worse. (Stupid me I forgot to manually remove the extra DB files...) Went back to MySQL 5, checked everything a couple times, and found the problem.

My batch file was wrong. It didn't correctly start the zones so the server was up and running but I couldn't load any zones. At all. *sigh*

Either way it's up and running perfectly now.

Thanks again devs! EQEmu is fun!
