Character files..

This may or may not be a silly question, but I don't have a clue, so I'm asking. Is it at all possible to transfer character files and duplicate your emu items on live? Both my emu and live characters have the same name, and their settings are both actually the same.

Is this a possibility?

This answer could be really stupid, but my 2 cents:

I think that the server actual has a copy of the file and checks it with your character file for differences / changes. So, it's kind of hard to mod the file locally and trick the server.

I figured it would be, but it was worth asking.. I'm not as technically inclined as most of you are, but it'd sure be nice to have a 2.0 epic monk on live. heh :)

If I understand this correctly, you want your live toon to reflect your emu toon?

Not possible, unless you know someone inside SoE on your particular server who are willing to give you the items. If live is anything like the emu, all info on the toons are stored on the server, and only the client on your machine ... after all, you have to tell the server your account name and toon name to gain access to them and their items.

Right. That's exactly what I said ;).
