Fourm Time?
I just noticed that the timestamps on the forum are WAY off. For example, in my case, I live in EST, and If I post right now at 2:00PM, My post says its 10:00PM which of course is a eight hour difference. This would not be a major problem if there was a -13:00 hour place in the world as I could just set my timezone to that and move on, but the most I can go is -12 which still puts me 1 hour ahead of real time.
I imagine this is not curable by any mods or admins here on the site and probably lies in a cfg or ini file on the server itself, but could this message maybe get passed to the ones with the almight powers and see if they can take a look in it, cause Im getting tripped out lol!! |
this might clear things up:
copied from the "User CP" http://www.latticeware.com/images/eqemu/all-times.jpg which indicates the host is probably on the left coast [like me :0) ], BUT their machine clock is not set correctly. unless the TZ isnt set properly either, which then means, the host is somewhere in the world, has the wrong TZ AND its bios clock is WAY off. == sfisque |
Yeah I whined about this too and was summarily ignored. ;)
I think the forum clock runs in 6-second ticks. |
You know John, I think your right, as the time a month ago was not this bad, but I dont see hoiw thats possible as the forum doesnt actually do its own clock, but pole the OS for time, which of course if the OS has a clock that runs 6x faster than it should, chances are that that Hosting provider and Super Dedicated server we are on is probably on fire!!
If it never gets fixed, I'm not going to bring it up, I realyl dont pay awhole lot of attention to times of post, just when there is a new post. |
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 08:43 AM. |
