EQ runs very erratically

I am running EQ in winxp on a macbookpro. I am able to login and play, however the game runs erratically fast, motion is not smooth, and characters walk/run at insane speeds, it is basically unplayable. Anybody know about this issue?

also how do you get EQ to run in a window. I downloaded EQW but I can't get it to run the modified executable eqgame.exe patchme

Not sure about the issues with erratic gameplay ...considering macs use intel processors, I know there is an issue with AMD processors for this ...anyway just make sure you download all windows updates if you haven't already, there might be a patch. You should also google this ..I'm sure others have probably had the same problem.

You can run EQ in a window by hitting ALT-Enter.... You do not need EQW anymore. Also if you want the window to be smaller just change the resolution in-game by using alt-o.

There was a patch for windows XP systems running on dual core processors. I had this problem with my Dell laptop and couldn't figure out why the hell my superfast system was running a 7 year old game like it was SETI.

Here's the link:

Standard Disclaimer: Do all of the registry back up shit, etc. that you would with any OS patch. If it botches install, call Richmond, WA... not me. ;)
