Incapable of entering world
 

Everything (oddly enough) worked out for me until after I created a character. When I hit "enter world", my screen locks up for a little bit and then says "Server not responding", "Disconnected" and boots me back to login. This happens no matter what server I try to play. Anyone know what's up?

Is that for public or mini-login?

Do you have a firewall, or router? you might have some needed ports blocked if so.

I'm on a large network, so I might not be getting some ports forwarded to this computer. I would assume, though, that if I could get as far as the character select screen, then a router wouldn't be a problem. Just in case, though, what ports need to be opened up?

My problem magically cleared up after deleting some erroneous processes, incase anyone else is encountering this problem.

Being able to enter character select is possible by just having the world port (9000) open. Maybe it was able to connect to the world port but none of the zone ports.

would like to know exactly what you mean by "erroneous" processes because i lost power today and when i got it back i can get to character select but trying to get into the world i am having the same problem it just locks up and eventually kicks me back to log-in any help would be great ...thanks
