Keep Getting Disconnected...can Anyone Help Fix?????
 

I recently fixed my maximizing screen issue by changing a windowed file from true to false. It helped tremendously, but I seem to be getting disconnected after five minutes of gameplay. Is this due to me changing the file or is it just a problem with the server? Can anyone help me with this issue in detail by chance. Also, how do I change perspectives in gameplay from first to third on a laptop? Is there another way to look up besides page up and page down on a laptop?

F9 will cycle through the camera views... are you sure it's 5 minutes and not 10? If it is 10 minutes, there's a 10 minute timer on the Tribute bonus system. Stop using Tribute bonus' or go to the tribute master and clear out all bonuses, log out and back in and then pick some good ones. If you lose a level and are using Tributes from a higher level, you will again crash every 10 minutes.

It might be ten minutes, it was a guess. Can you explain in detail what I need to do to fix this issue and play. I am new to the game (level 8). It worked perfectly last night and since I got on today, it has had an issue everytime. I do not understand what you mean about the tribute master. I do not mind if I lose anything, I just want to be able to play error free if possible.

Tribute Bonus System? Whats that? How do I know if I am on it?
 

I do not know what a tribute bonus system is, but it sounds like I do not want to be apart of it if it causes running problems. I would greatly appreciate it if I could be shown a step by step to fix any issue, so that I cn play without being disconnected.

well, if you don't know then that might not be the problem. check if tribute is enabled anyway. ALT+U should bring up the window. if it is enabled then disable it.

Are you using a fresh clean install of Everquest titanium that you yourself bought, ie did NOT download via torrent?

No, I downloaded from the computer. Well my friend did, and I used his downloaded disks. Do I need to do something in the files to fix it?

Well, one issue is probably the illegal copy of EQ Titanium that you are using. Other than that, you will want to try other servers and see if it is happening on every one you try or just a certain one. If it is only 1 server, then it is probably a server issue. If it happens on every server, then it is probably on your side.

You might also want to try different zones on the server you are trying. Some zones are more likely to cause the lag bug where you can't chat or cast spells or attack. We will need more info on your problem. But, until you get an actual legal copy of Titanium, you won't get any further support here. Not only are those illegal copies illegal and risk legal action from SoE towards the EQEmu sites, but none of the illegal copies are fresh installs of titanium, which is the requirement to play the emu bug free. Some might let you get on, but almost all of them will have multiple issues with certain zones, spells, and tons of connection and display issues. Getting a legal copy is the best 20$ you can spend :)
