Cant run the EMU
 

So, I ran EQ, like the wiki says not to... Now the EMU wont run it keeps going to the real EQ. Is the emu not running because i patched the game? Should i just uninstall it and start over?

This is basically a game where you get whatever you want and just fool around?

First off, this has been answered in several posts throughout the wiki and the forums but Ill do you a favor and answer it -

In order to play on the free servers, you have to have a base install of Everquest:Titanium - NO PATCHES. If even a single patch happens, you will have to uninstall and reinstall. My advice is to install the game, copy and rename the folder so you have 2 versions of Everquest - that way one can be played on live (original Everquest folder).

Next, your eqhost file needs to be setup as well - you can find the exact config in the wiki posts on setting up a client.

thats totaly up to you HOW you do it. If you not running your own server , then you can choose among DOZENS of servers there is allreday- each server has ist own rules - on soem servers- you can give your self most uber items and just run around playing god.

other servers are LEGIT - which means you start from lev 1 with nothing and earn your way up - just like playing the real EQ.

also, many servers have been customized to provide lots of new and diffirents things than original game did.

if you looking for game identical to real eq- look for PEQ Grand Creation server, if you looking for something new and diffirent- try Storm Heaven or Zeboxorux servers.

if you decide to set up your own server (NOT an easy task) - you can set anyway you like given time, patience and creativity

Which servers can i run around highest level with the best gear? Cant find it :P
