Trouble Sourcing in Database
From the server setup guide, when I type in this part:
create database peq; \u peq source load_player.sql the first two commands work but "source load_player.sql" creates an error and says it was not created. Also, which build version should I be putting for the next command? source peqdb_1118.sql? Cuz that doesn't work either. Any help with this would be great. Thanks! |
Do you have the .sql files in the same directory that you're running mysql from?
Mind you mine's a Windows server, but when I first start a command prompt I'm at C:\Documents and Settings\User, etc. I have to change directory to my desktop (where I usually drop the .sql files in advance) before I start mysql (with mysql -u root -p). If you don't have them in the directory you're running it from, then it may not be able to find them. As for what version of the database to use, that's up to you. If you're grabbing from CVS, there's a more recent version than 1118. (I believe it's up to 1118 B or C now). |
I'll try that and see if it works. Thanks.

problem solved. Let me put details here.
Ok, so i was getting an error that it couln't load it. For future people, when it unpacks it, make sure that it unpacks the files into the "peqdb" folder and not into the "peq_db" |
