1017 Error for ONLY one EMU server
Ok, so I know there are a lot of 1017 Error posts, but none of them address my issue specifically so I thought I'd get another a try for possible help.
I'm trying to play on the Vallon Zek/Tallon Zek Server, and I keep getting the 1017 error after I click to join the server. I dont ever make it to character selection, I just sit on the sever select screen for a while, then jump all the way back to login. THen when I re-log in i get the 1017 message. ALL the other servers ive tried connect fine. Its a fresh Titanium Install, no updating. The servers are up (confirmed) and its not my account (tried friends account who is able to connect). Also, I've disconnected my router to get it out of the loop, and still get the error. Windows firewall isnt on. I dont know what else to try I heard someone mentioning globalDRK, which was possibly in the free eqtrilogy.exe that is available online. I downloaded and installed that and I can't find the globalDRK file in there. So I dunno what to do about that, considering my friend who is able to connect says he doesnt even have it in his EQ folder. Any advice would be appreciated. |
*IF* the server has an account with the same name in the account table of the DB as the account you are using *AND* the LSID number is different, it will produce a 1017 error. I am not sure why, but I solved this problem for a player on our server.
If this is the problem, the solution is to either fix the LSID number in their db or just delete the account table entry for that account. |
