Having some trouble
I have played eqemulator before, for a long time as a matter of fact, I recently moved to Wyoming and patched to live to play live for a little bit, Im wanting to play emulator again, I reinstalled titanium, changed eqhost and such and made the shortcut, and everytime i try to log in i get this error : "The version of messaging being used is not the same between client and server. This is most likely the result of the client and/or server having been patched. Please try re-patching the client in order to correct this issue"
I havent patched to live or anything, havent even ran the patcher.. I cant figure it out, there was a post similar to this one but still no real suggestion as in what one needs to do to fix it. Any of your help is much appreciated~ |
Sorry you're having problems... Could you provide a little more information please?
1. Do you have the full retail copy of Titanium, not a downloaded version? 2. What version of windows are you running? 3. Did you completely remove the patched version of EQ and its directory? You can't have two versions unless you first install Titaniumand then copy the folder before patching. |
I'm new to all this. Followed the guide and get the same error as the OP. To answer the responders questions:
1. full retail, bought it tonight from Gamestop. 2. windows XP professional 3. never patched anything, followed the guide precisely. thanks for any assistance. |
ok, disregard. i found the problem. for anyone else having this issue, what i did was go back over everything and found the .txt file i was to edit didn't save for some reason. re-did that step and it works fine now. thanks for the potential to help!
