Weird Issue..

Just installed EQ Titanium, followed all rules/guides, connected up to the zeks serer no problem. Everything seems to work really good, except for one thing - Every npc/pc graphic is black. Black like the shades in dodh black. No features, nothing. just look like shadows. Searched the forums for a couple of hours now, went back around 15 pages in each section and searched for it, cant seem to find anything related to this problem. If anyone would have an idea, im all ears and appreciate it.

Upon further review, everything is black. rocks, trees, pillars. the ground and walls seem to vanish too, still registering as there (i cant walk through/fall through), but i can see through as if nothing is there at all. grass is black, etc etc. Cant really seem to understand what would cause it, so any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Try upgrading or maybe even downgrading your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, try adjusting your advanced graphics settings in the EQ options window. Or try /dopropertinting off or maybe on. Make sure you zone after you enter that command for it to take effect. If none of that fixes it, uninstall Titanium, delete the whole directory and install it again.

This happened to me on live back when SOE made the first graphic update... the one that made all the players look better, skeletons better, and the new elemental pets were updated. I think it was Luclin?

Anyways, for me it had to do with a lack of system memory, and I had to turn off the Luclin skins untill I upgraded. You're system memory up to par?

A friend of mine had this issue after patching to Live and then trying to play on our emulated server. It had updated some of his graphic files.

There's no chance that that's happened to you?

Fixed it up, thanks for the help. Apparently even after you completely uninstall EverQuest from playing on live and install titanium, it leaves files in the directory. You have to make sure to uninstall, then delete the entire directory, then install to play. Works 100% now.
