Ok, guys, I have had this issue for a while and I can't figure it out!

On my test port, I am unable to cast any detrimental spell. I get "You cannot see your target.". This is both with #castspell and actually casting the spell. It also affects procs.

Has anyone encountered this before?? Any clue whats the cause?

This usually occurs when you don't have the map files loaded.

Yep like Andrew stated the maps probably are not loaded correctly. When the maps unpack they commonly get put in
eqemu\maps\maps

They should be in
eqemu\maps\

If you get the latest map files from Angelox's site, it should include maps for every zone. The old ones are missing most of the newer expansions.
