Do I have to install luclin inorder to get the spells to work properly? Because everytime i cast a spell it never ends and i have to /q to get out. I remember seeing somting on the news post that it said upgrading to luclin nicely fixed the spell bug where the spell never showed the "end". Anyone having same problem?

Just a quick question. Whats your ping say when this happens? In the older claints it wouldnt cause you to not cast it just didnt have the finish animation. Sounds like your server is lagging.

my ping is 0% with minor bounces but thats exactly what happens is ther is no finished animation it just keeps spewing magic animations on and on and on. I do have the latest patch from EQ.

Hmm thats intresting. The only issue I knew of was the spell effect did cast but it never showed the finish animation which is what they meant in update. Since you have a normal ping for a server I dont really see how that can happen. Maybe one of the others might know. In any case did you notice anything weird in the zone.exe window? It seems like the database is lagging. In my case when this happens I just restart the computer and it fixes it.

If nobody else has a clue I would try a reinstall of mysql.

{EDIT} When they mean no finish animation they meant the spell would finish but would never show the finish animation. The spell did finish its casting though.

The previous problems have all been in getting the right effects and animations to show. I have never seen the case of where a spell or animation goes on forever, much less needing to /q.

But I also haven't run an nonSoL version since 0.2, so I don't know how things work. I will try later today and see. Or if someone else can try and post here it would be nice.
