Expanding the community
Hey all,
Recently been messing with google analytics and it seems that you will get just as many visitors for your website from EQEMulator as you would from advertising on any other site like onRPG. It looks like there is the potential community out there for this but it's just getting the word out. Does anyone recommend any other places that might have old eq players or new players with older PC's? Cheers guys! |
Nearly every individual server had a community message board. That would probably be the best approach. Many people kept in touch with their friends from the server long after they quit playing, and used that method.

for the rathe/karana server I think the website was "the rathe travel agency", or the RTA as it became affectionately known by the server denizens
http://rta.rathegamerz.net/phpbb/index.php if we can gather a list here of the "Community" boards for each server, we can go about recruiting people into our wonderful world. |
RTA... that brings back some memories.

If there's one thing I don't like, it's turning this community into another ragezone.
The only reason i'm here is because it's relatively drama free, and it's open source on one codebase. I do not want this turning into another: 1) Ascent 2) Maplestory Emulator 3) RO Online Community 4) Any other gaming community that sprouts up with the word 'gamers' in it. See: any of the sites that advertise on ragezone. Sorry, as much as I'd like new people, I can deal without 50% of the world's location in one place. :( |
I whole heartedly agree with Secrets,
It's not like we "need" more visitors. I'll keep an eye on this thread.. GeorgeS |
Aye I totally agree, it's not really about pulling people here but to our individual servers I guess!
