Wiki VS2008 MySQL Version
 

Can someone update http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=VS2008
with a link to the correct version of MySQL. Ie can it be 4/5? Which release?

You posted this in the development section and this is not development related, so I moved it to Windows Server Support. Try to make sure you post in the correct section, please.

The wiki page you are referring to is for compiling the source, not a complete guide for setting up a server, so MySQL version isn't exactly relevant there. The correct MySQL version should be added to this wiki page instead:

Unfortunately, that wiki guide is fairly out-of-date and needs a major overhaul on it. I haven't setup a server from scratch in a long time or I would update it myself. And I don't really want to install a fresh copy of Windows just so I can update a wiki page and verify that each step is 100% correct. At some point, I probably will do it if someone doesn't do it before I do, but reinstalling Windows isn't a plan in my near future atm.

Thanks dude that's a big help - can you post that link on that other page so if anyone is reading it they know to check the new version?

That page contains no information for compiling in visual studio!

The latest 5.0 version (5.0.83) works fine. I installed it a few weeks back and everything is good.
