Is there an easy way to make spells?

I'm just trying to figure out an easy way to create spells. Does anyone know of a simple way?

Alia/Bleh spell editor

Yeah I'm using it, but I mean it's sort of hard to figure out what to set those random values too as well as finding the right effect you want etc..

not sure what random values you referring to, but Bleh editor is as easy as it gets.
if you have any specific questions on spell property- ask away

overall - when creating a new spell the BEST WAY is to make a copy of a spell with similar effect and modify that

I tried making a copy of a spell once, but it just erased an already existing spell.

well you must did something wrong =)
as I have made over 400+ custom spells all based on copying an existing spell

Randymarsh9 08-16-2009 03:14 PM

haha do you copy it with the bleh editor or in navicat?

I do all my spell work in Bleh
basicly I have not yet upgraded server to a version which uses Db spells, as I did not wanted to bother with exports/imports yet

but all my customs work fine so far

Make sure you weren't using the same existing spell ID as the one you copied. You need to set the first number to a unique number (spellID) or else it will just overwrite the spell you are copying.

I mean I chose copy spell, and then it erased some wizard nuke that wasn't anywhere near it in ID
