Augments
 

I quit playing live right about the time LDoN came out, so I never player that expansion. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or guide that explains how augments work? What items can be augmented? How do you augment and what do you augment items with? Thanks!

basically augments are add-ons to items.
I have seen: +AC, +DMG, +mod2, +stat(i think)
The items that can accept augments will have a slot (SLOT TYPE: 7(GROUP) for example).
The augment it self will have a restriction that will say along the lines of: Fits in slot 7,8

To use:
find an augmentation pool (looks like a bird bath) open it up (it's basically a TS container) add the item and the augment, click combine, poof done.

You can remove the augments buy getting a augmentation distiller(?). I forget the exact name. Put the item with the augment in the bird bath with the distiller, click combine, and get the item back... depending on the recipe script, you may get the augment back.
IIRC getting the augment back was in later expansions like Omens and Dragons... (not sure about Gates)

depends on when your looking...
LDON, from the LDON vendors in the wayfarer camps.
Gates, Omes, DoDH, Named/Boss mob drops
DON, DON vendors in Lavastorm and some are drop from DON instances
I have never done a lot of LDON's so their maybe some that drop in the raids, have no idea if they drop in group instances.

Yeah they drop in group ones too. Usually pretty crappy ones though.
