Cannot connect to login server.
 

New Titanium install, not patched, correctly modified shortcut, changed hosts file to point to eqemulator.net:5998, also tried new.eqemulator.net:5998.

Verified no additional spaces or carriage returns or punctuation in eqhosts.txt.

Showed extensions and verified filename is infact eqhosts.txt and NOT eqhosts.txt.txt or the like.

When I run the client I get a timeout trying to connect after 15-25 seconds.

Disabled all firewalls on my local machine, and temporarily added my IP to the DMZ on my broadband router.

No idea what else to try, any ideas out there?

The file name is eqhost.txt not eqhosts.txt

The text in the eqhost.txt file should look something like the following:

[LoginServer]
Host=new.eqemulator.net:5998

File name is correct, was a typo on the site.

Login server entry in the file is correct to what you've specified here.

It could be a dns issue so try using Host=208.64.37.23:5998 as referenced here: http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/sho...=timeout+error

Using an ip instead of a url has helped some people get past the connection problem.
