Everything works great, but I can't enter any servers
 

Title pretty much says my problem, I can log in and see the server list fine,but when I try to enter a server, EQ freezes and doesn't recover. I'm on Windows 7 with a Radeon 5800 card, what could be the problem? I was looking forward to some nostalgia tonight :(


Also, if this helps, I also can't end the eqgame.exe process when it freezes, it gives "Access denied" when I try.

Which client are you using and where does your eqhost.txt file point to? SoD won't work with eqemulator.net at the moment, there's an alternate one posted here on the forums if you want to use a SoD client.

I have this exact same problem and I'm using XP and a Nvidia Geforce 6800. So confusing. Did you install the EQLive updates by any chance? I found it wouldn’t even allow me to open up the game at all unless I did, and then I was able to see the serverlist. But I know people say to not patch EQ when using EQemu so maybe that is what messed it up.

But at least I can see the servers i guess? ;/

Look at the FAQ in my sig and see the parts about multi-core CPUs and about resolution issues. One of them or maybe other info in the FAQ should help to give you some ideas to try.
