Signature adding - when?

Are we allowed to add a signature image for ourselves at some time? Specifically, a signature of our own rather than an auto-created one?

EDIT: Well apparently I answered my own question! LOL The setup stated I wasn't allowed to use an image in my sig, but there it is...
