Running XP on OSX w/ Parallels 5
 

I'm running XP on a Bacbook using Parallels 5. Everything is perfect until I get to the character select screen. The menu works fine but the world and characters don't show up at all, just blackness. Then it completely crashes XP back to the reboot screen.
My assumption is a hardware issue but that makes little sense to me as the Macbook has more than sufficient spec to run EQ even with everything set to maximum. But even turned all the way down and Luclin models off it crashes all the same.

Any suggestions/ideas/speculations?

Thanks for the link. That would've been a faster method for installing but it still doesn't address my problem specifically. :(

Well, from what I know, many people have tried to play EQ on Macs with little success other than the way mentioned in that thread. Even SOE has very limited support for Macs, and I think they run a special Mac server on a very old client that was patched specifically for macs.
