Green text virus?
 

I got green text message saying basically those..

"Green text activated"

... (missed message)

"Green virus trojan installed. Please restart client"

while I was playing in a server. Is this a known virus for everquest or something?

I seriously doubt there are any viruses that specifically target Everquest. And even if there were they would have shown up during Everquests peak years not when the game is sliding towards its doom.

Since you are getting a message telling you to restart your client it is more likely that someone is spamming you with text just to screw with you.

What was so odd is that it was green text? That was what made me wonder.

could have been a gm on the server using world emote in green text to just screw with you and make you freak out.

likely a GM did this:

#emote world <color> <message>

and probably broadcasted it in green.

I do send messages like:

"Message from your tailor: Your pants are ready" =)

and

"You got better at Zonning! (15)" =)

Thanks. That sure got rid of good percent of my worries. :P

I know my computer is fairly hardy (I don't run on admin account, have decent virus scanner and anti-spyware and all), but I can't help but worry. :P
