Different server, different install?

Quick question. Is it recommended to have a different EQ install directory for each emu server you play on? It seems like some of the servers require custom files to run and I don't want to mess up the files for the regular server I play on.

it will save ya a headache later on having to constantly swap in spell files etc.

You could consider it.
(1) Install
(2) Move Eq install folder
(3) Install again (will prob make you 'uninstall' previous which is why you move folder)

Rinse repeat for each server, most HD are big enough you can do this and have room to spare for all the other stuff you want/have.
Me personally I have a notepad file that lists what each server requires and where/what I named backups for files.
Not that hard to swap spell files

you don't have to install each time.

do clean install once, then make 10 copies of eq folder, and rename each to anything you like
just make sure to make INDIVIDUAL modified shortcut for each

yes that is true... unless you happen to have a retarded, cursed install of vista x64 like I do.

Copy and run them all from your "Public" folder. Then Vista doesn't mind what you do to em. - Then you only have to install once, and can easily copy them to/from other computers also.
