25 Rift VIP Beta Keys.

I recently received an email from Trion with more Rift beta keys to give away and I figured I would post them here as a small thank you for the information provided on this site.

You can find the beta key as well as information on how to activate the key on the Trinity servers forum page in the Off Topic section.

Don't mind the ghosttown of a forum board. I just started my server on the 17 and opened the forums on the 18 or 19. I forget lol. Been working too hard on the server code.

P.S. If anyone knows what the expansion code is to only allow Titanium expansions I would be grateful.

I have tried a couple values from this list:

Expansions
Default: 511

Accessible expansions for all players.

0 - Classic
1 - Ruins of Kunark
2 - Scars of Velious
4 - Shadows of Luclin
8 - Planes of Power
16 - Legacy of Ykesha
32 - Lost Dungeons of Norrath
64 - Gates of Discord
128 - Omens of War
256 - Dragons of Norrath
512 - Depths of Darkhallow
1024 - Prophecy of Ro
2048 - Serpent's Spine
4096 - The Burried Sea
8192 - Secrets of Faydwer

All Expansions combined = 16383

Specifically 64 and 1024 but when I put those values into the Variables table I get old world models.

Are you trying to restrict models or trying to restrict zone access?

Zone access:

You could also achieve this by locking out zones in the zone table. Setting the min_level = X where X is greater than the max level attainable on the server. Or you could set min_status = 250 so that only GM's and admins could access the zone. Or you could create a custom item that isn't available in the game world and make it the required key for the zones you want locked.

I'm trying to restrict access so all new players have to start in pok. Players are creating new toons and starting them out in Crescent Reach. I have changed all starting_zones entries to make them spawn in pok but I must be missing something from the table because players were still able to create a toon there until I restricted access.

I set the access level to 50 so it would just not allow them in the zone and now when they create characters that would normally start in crescent reach they are started in the arena lol.

I'm gonna do more messing around tomorrow with the expansions.

Disable the tutorial button, and change the start_zone table, to startzone ID to 202 (pok). then just throw in your xyz. think that will fix it.

Another option is to add an entry to the variables table named 'startzone', and then name a shortname as the value.

This will override any settings for starting zones, and force all characters (regardless of client) to begin the game in said shortname.

So if you set it to qeynos2, everyone starts in qeynos2 at the safe_xyz.

Hope that helps

Oh! That is nice. I think I got the expansions thing set properly but I need another day or so to find out and check the character table.

If that's not set up right I'll give that a shot.

Thanks!

I did what secrets said, works perfectly with tutorial button disabled.

On a side note, make sure you set your zone level if you go diving into later expansions. I think most of the SoD zones are all marked as 250 or something. I sat there for over an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't zone in non-Gm'd
