Just curious about Skinspike Potions
 

I did a search on skinspikes to see about this problem, but came up with an old post from 2007,

When I log in to my own server (with an SoD or UF client), and cast any of
Distillate of Skinspikes potions, I see the message "Your skin sprouts with thorns"
But it doesn't really do anything. No buff shows up in any buff/aura windows.
I fought a mob after I cast it, and no damage was done, but I was just curious
if these were working or not. No big deal, just curious if its something on my end.

If spell import has anything to do with it (not sure), I have all spells imported up to
House of Thule.

I got a buff icon when I tested this, but as you say, no effect.

This is because the 'Spell Duration Formula' (15) used by this spell is not implemented in EQEmu.

This is handled in Rev 1860, but just uses the default duration from the spell (20 minutes). I did find some old data on the duration of the I to X potions (11 to 20 minutes) here: http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/show...l=1#post180020 and here http://crucible.samanna.net/viewtopi...t=2014&start=0

but couldn't find anything on versions XI through XIV. If anyone knows what the duration of those potions are (i.e. does it follow the existing pattern, so 21 minutes for XI, 22 for XII etc), I can fix the duration formula.

I can log my 85 war on to sony live later and see if I can find those potions in
baz to try out the timers on them. I do know he's got some XIII on him now.

I just tried them all out on sony live. They were all 20 minute duration and my
toon had no aa's put in to ext buffs.

Of course I couldn't try XV, for level 90.

On a level 80 toon

Distillate of Skinspikes XI - 20 minutes
Distillate of Skinspikes XIII - 20 minutes

Don't have a level 85 or 90 character to test XIV and XV

I also tested Skinspikes XI on a level 71 toon and it had the same duration.

Skinspikes are working now. 85 non-melee damage for skinspikes X and
105 non-melee damage for skinspikes XIV
