Beastlord Epic 1.5/2.0
 

There seems to be an issue with the beastlord epic 1.5 and 2.0 right click effect. it should work by right clicking the weapon, it should auto target the beastlord's warder, and cast the buff on the warder.

When I click the effect on either of them, it automatically targets the warder, and then at the end of casting, it gives an error saying that I must select a target for the spell. I have talked to other players who have the items and they say this has been an ongoing issue for years that isn't server specific.

So I'm just wondering if this is a fixable issue? or is there a reason why it's not being fixed?

most likely some sort of error in the spell structure itself (spell properties are not set properly).
If it is, while its not server specific, its also not a code related, so consult your server admin

Looking at the 2.0 spell on my server, the targettype is ST_SummonedPet. This requires that the target have a bodytype of BT_Summoned, BT_Summoned2, or BT_Summoned3. Beastlord pets, at least the ones I checked, have a bodytype of BT_Animal so they are not a valid target for the spell.

If the spell targettype was changed to ST_Pet it would work. I would guess the 1.5 is the same issue.

Thanks for the information, I've posted it on the server forum and they said there was something that got updated should take effect in a week.

Yes, we changed the source to make it work, so whenever they update it should be ok.
