Cannot Create Character
 

The only server i am able to log on to is the 4x exp / 5x AA server. WHen i try to create a character (when i click the button "create character") nothing happens. The only button that will do anythign is the enter world button which causes EQ to crash and i get the " windows has detected that your client may have crashed " or whatever. I cannot get on any server other than the 4x exp 5aa one which only gos to char select screen.

Sounds like you are most likely running a client that is patched to EQLive. You can check your client version by following the info here:

If you patched to Live and can only connect to that one server, then my best guess is that they recently updated their code to the latest SVN and no other server is running the latest yet. Derision just updated some of the opcodes and such to work with the Live (or maybe Beta) client. I don't know how many he updated, but probably not enough to fully log in a character, or at least not enough to play is my guess.

no i just re installed EQ and have never connected to a server anywhere

I saw in one of your other threads that you are using UF client. Did you already go through wiki and get the missing files?
