SoD expansion client

Yeah, what about for all of us who actually own SoD on our EQ accounts? Is there any Sony backed site to redownload the clients we own? I don't feel like rebuying it. The only expansion I don't have is the thule thing...

The only clients that are supported by the emulator are retail copies of Titanium and Secrets of Faydwer and the Steam releases of Seeds of Destruction and Underfoot which are no longer available. Some progress has been made on getting the live client to work with the emulator but it is not very far along yet.

Since the older clients are now free, I don't see why there's an issue with sharing them.

the only thing freely obtainable is the live client. It is all still copyrighted work and hosting/posting it someplace is still illegal.

To the OP's point. Sony has never had any interest in keeping archives of the various versions of the client because they are all 100% useless as soon as they patch something. You connect to their server and play with only 1 client. The current patched client.

I bought SoD on Steam back when it was still available - and it seems available for DL at the moment. However, I remember something about them updating it at one point and that the "newer" version no longer worked with EQemu - is that still the case?

Reason I ask is I am planning on returning, and need a working copy of the game!

They may have updated the download to Underfoot. It's easy enough to check it against the supported client versions: http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...ClientVersions

As with anything, always keep a backup in case Steam decides to do something weird.
