SQL query snippet help

Hiya I used Georges tools which took me some getting used to but for the most part did what i wanted them to do.

I made some custom merchants to sell defiant gear, one for each type. On the last 3 I made, I forgot to remove the items from the list before moving on and so they all sell 3 types of defiant gear now, LOL. I tried to use his editor to remove the items but when I got back later they are still there. This was using his npc & loot editor and the merchant editor function. I might be doing it wrong but it seems to me I could remove the items from that merchants list wish and sql statement to remove all items that do not contain the text "elaborate defiant" in the name field for the item on the merchant list. That way they would only have elaborate defiant gear on that merchant list id.

I basically suck at writing sql queries and not sure how to do it with the front end either. Does anyone have a sample query like that I could look at and edit to use for what I want? I appreciate your support if you can help. Thanks!

Is there a SQL for dummies resource I can go to for example scripts like that?
