Black screen crash upon connecting
 

Hello, recently got everything set up and all, I can log in with my LS account, but whenever I try to connect to a server, the screen turns back and 5 seconds later eqgame.exe stops responding. It doesn't shut down itself but it shows up as 'not responding' in my task manager, and it doesn't let me do anything in the program itself.

I've tried all dual core fixes, affinity setting changes and such. Using port 5999 for Underfoot. Help please, I wanna play on the servers :<

Is this a clean installation of Underfoot, or was it installed on top of a pre-existing client?


I've seen this issue when people install SoF, SoD, or Titanium, and then install UF over it.

I'm pretty sure I've either SoD or Underfoot, because when I use port 5998 in the eqhost file, logging into the server gets stuck. On 5999 I can log in, it just gets stuck whenever I try to connect to a server
Do I seriously have to re-install the original CDs with no patch just to play on these private servers? D:

We're not looking to make fun of you if you made a simple mistake..but posting your solution might help others in the future :)

Well I just took a clean version of UF without any patches, so that was the problem :/
