we need to have more information then it freezes

like what client are you using to log in with?
you use your lsaccount to connect to eqemulator.net
did you create a file called eqhost.txt and put eqemulator.net:5998 or 5999?
did you create a short cut and put eqgame.exe patchme?
what server was you trying to login too?

Using

using the patch me as well

trying to connect to any server the game just freezes, have to crash it

switched between 5998 and 5999 no difference

Have you checked the FAQ in my sig? It has some suggestions. We need to know which client you are using. If it is Titanium, you need to use port 5998. All other clients use port 5999.

Also, if you are playing from a network that you don't own (such as a work or school network), they may be blocking the ports required to play, which would cause this same issue and there is no easy way around that.

Ive read the FAQ and tried to troubleshoot with no luck

c0ncrete 11-09-2012 09:53 PM

what client are you using?

is it a fresh install or patched to live?

are you running any third party "utilities" related to EQ?

have you tried running OptionsEditor.exe in your EQ directory to make sure your video settings are correct?

are you running trough a router?

do you have a firewall?

I changed my eqclient from the FAQ and now i am getting a memory error

Forgot to save my old eqclient ini file

Crap

how can i verify which client i am using, i was playing live as of a few months ago

does that help?

yes, it helps. you're very likely going to need to reinstall.

how can i verify which client i am using. under the log directory you'll see dbg.txt click on that file after you open it up you should see Starting EverQuest (Built Nov xx 2012) i use the build logs dates.

come on, no opcode? I am disappointed....

Kwino, you need a clean (unpatched to Live) install of Titanium (disc), SoF (disc), SoD (steam version), or UF (steam version) to play on the EQEmu servers. No other version will work at this time.
